On Thursday, 24 June 2022, Scientific Group Research Team and History Learning, History Education Study Program, FKIP, Sebelas Maret University consisting of Prof.. Dr.. Sariyatun, M.Pd., M.Hum., Prof. Dr.. Leo the Great S, M.Pd., Dr.. Akhmad Arif Musadad, M.Pd., Drs. Tri Yuniyanto, M.Hum., and Nur Fatah Abidin, S.Pd., M.Pd., has organized community service activities, which is titled, "Workshop on Research and Writing of Good Practice Methods (Best Practices) for History Subject Teachers in Karanganyar".

This event was held in the Hall of State High School 1 Karanganyar and followed by representatives of history teachers from high school, SMK and MAN in Karanganyar Regency. This event invites Dr. Akhmad Arif Musadad, M.Pd. as a speaker.

The event begins with a joint prayer, then continued by singing the song Indonesia Raya and remarks from Dr.. Sutiyah, M.Pd., M.Hum. as the head of the S1 History Education study program, FKIP, Eleven March University, Dra. Suliyastuti, M.M as the principal of sma Negeri 1 Karanganyar and Drs. Heru Sudiyatmoyo as vice chairman of MGMP Sejarah Karanganyar.

The event started with the presentation of material by Dr. Akhmad Arif Musadad, M.Pd. moderated by Nur Fatah Abidin, S.Pd., M.Pd. On this occasion, Dr.. Akhmad Arif Musadad, M.Pd. presenting material on the subject of century learning innovation 21 and an independent curriculum. Dr.. Akhmad Arif Musadad, M.Pd. said that teachers are facilitated to constantly change, innovate. The teacher cannot if he teaches the disciple as he used to be taught. 21st century learning is learning that integrates literacy skills, knowledge proficiency, skills and attitudes, and mastery of technology. Teachers must implement TPACK in learning. History should not rely solely on rote memorization, moreover, the condition of Indonesia which has low literacy. Students must have adequate literacy and knowledge skills, this should be exemplified by the teacher. Exist 3 current curriculum, in the future it will gradually become an independent curriculum. The current curriculum is more oriented towards the substance of the material. As a result, the teacher only pursues the broadcast of completing the material so that he does not know and pay attention to the students whether they understand the material or not. Meanwhile, the independent curriculum will prioritize competence.

Dr.. Akhmad Arif Musadad, M.Pd. further said that the industrial revolution changed lives like the way of life, work, relating to one another. Rapid and rapid change, we must make our protégés flexible. The emergence of a new society or Society 5.0. Indonesia has hopes with the vision and mission of developed countries in the year 2024 supported by human resources and natural resources. Teachers have a responsibility to develop human resources. To support the quality of human resources, skills are needed, namely life skills are needed. All major works are the result of cooperation. To make the benefits of history more pronounced, don't just use the way of learning rote memorization. The way of learning should be revised and improved better. Students need to learn century life skills 21, to know, to do, to be, to live together. The culmination is the character to later live in society. Century proficiency 21 what is needed such as character qualities, Competence, and basic literacy. Teachers must be prepared for change. Development of character values such as exercise of the heart, Sports, thought and process karsa. The teacher must understand the state of his student. The teacher must support the students and facilitate so that the character of the students can develop properly. Professional teachers are teachers who are willing to change, keep learning and innovating, able to master digital technology and ICT, career-oriented and community life. If students are happy in learning, it will create a more comfortable atmosphere for learning so that understanding the material is easier..

The event was then continued with a question and answer session. Teachers are enthusiastic to ask questions related to the question of century learning innovation 21 and an independent curriculum. The next event is the preparation of a good practice report (best practices) by a teacher who is guided directly by Dr. Akhmad Arif Musadad, M.Pd. It is hoped that with this workshop event, history teachers in Karanganyar District can continue to innovate in history learning in the century 21 to improve or develop more engaging and effective learning. Learning innovations with various innovative programs are expected to give birth to more creative student mentalities so that teachers can provide good and meaningful learning for students.

Year Devotion 2019

The History Education Study Program as a printer for the educated generation certainly contributes to research and service activities. In the year 2019, The History Education Study Program Service Team in collaboration with MGMP SMA Surakarta City. Subject Teacher Deliberation or commonly called MGMP is an association of teachers who play a strategic role in order to improve and strengthen teacher competence through various trainings and discussions held. The collaboration between the History Education Study Program and mgmp sma Kota Surakarta was realized by the holding of Workshop rpp making, Media, Methods and Models of History Learning located at State High Schools 1 Surakarta

Devotion in the Year Tray 2021

In the year 2021, The Research and Service Team of the History Education Study Program together with several Baki communities held a research action in Ngrombo Tourism Village, Baki Subdistrict, Sukoharjo Regency. The research and service activities began with the discussion of the research agenda carried out at the Ngrombo Village Hall. The implementation of research and service also involves students in its implementation. In this series of activities, the Research and Service Team of the History Education Study Program together with several Baki communities provided socialization and initial design of Research and Service which was located at the Tosan Hotel, Sukoharjo Regency. From these research and service activities, it is hoped that it can explore historical objects that have not been managed and develop Ngrombo Tourism Village.


On Thursday, 14 July 2022, the research team from the History Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University Organized Focus Group Discussion or Directional Group Discussions. The activity was held in the Indrakila Room of UNS Inn Surakarta and was attended by 19 history teacher from Surakarta, Karanganyar, and Sukoharjo. Moreover, lecturers of history education study programs and indipendent researchers are also involved in these activities.

This Focus Group Discussion activity is a series of Research and Development of Digital Teaching Materials for the History of Indonesian Nationality in close proximity Inquiry-based Historical Primary Source developed by Prof.. Dr.. Sariyatun, M.Pd., M.Hum., Prof. Dr.. Leo the Great S., M.Pd., and Nur Fatah Abidin, S.Pd., M.Pd.

Prof. Dr.. Sariyatun, M.Pd., M.Hum. as the head of the researcher stated that the purpose of this Focus Group Discussion activity was to discuss the potential use of primary resources in learning the history of the Independent Curriculum and develop teaching materials for national history based on input from practitioners, namely history teachers..

The Focus Group Discussion activity was opened with remarks from Prof.. Dr.. Sariyatun, M.Pd., M.Hum. as the head of research and subsequently opened Dr. Sutiyah, M.Pd., M.Hum as Head of History Education Study Program. The Focus Group Discussion activity was then guided by Nur Fatah Abidin, S.Pd., M.Pd. which conveys an introduction to the design of teaching materials and then continues with a directed discussion.

Focus Group Discussion Activities produce input and recommendations on teaching materials developed by researchers. The problem of the suitability of primary sources with the level of development of students is one of the topics discussed intensively in this activity. Despite the shortcomings, the teacher agrees that the design design of learning materials is feasible and theoretically can be used in history learning, particularly in Phase F.
