Fun learning is sometimes created when the learning method is not only full of theory in the classroom, but occasionally outingclass (Learning outside the classroom). This is what Dadan Adi Kurniawan tried to practice, S.Pd., M.A., one of the young lecturers in the History Education Study Program FKIP UNS. Through two courses, namely Museology and Archives (2 credits) who performed for the semester 3 (force 2021), and History of Indonesia in the Pre-Literacy Period and Hindu-Buddhist (4 credits) who performed for the semester 1 (force 2022), Dadan directs students to visit the museum.

For the semester 3, Students are required to visit in groups (5-6 person) to two different museums. The museum he visited was also released (at the will of each group). Based on assignments, reports and videos collected from all groups, recorded in total there 13 Museums visited by semester students 3 (Force 2021). These 13 museums include:

  1. Museum Radya Pustaka (Surakarta)
  2. Surakarta Palace Museum
  3. Museum Keris Nusantara (Surakarta)
  4. Museum at the National Press Monument (Surakarta)
  5. Museum Samanhoedi (Surakarta)
  6. Museum Batik Danar Hadi (Surakarta)
  7. Museum of Ancient Man Bangka Cluster (Sragen)
  8. Museum of Ancient Man Dayu Cluster (Karanganyar)

  11. Museum Sonobudoyo (Yogyakarta)
  12. Museum Dewantara Kirti Griya (Yogyakarta)
  13. Museum Vredeburg (Yogyakarta)

As for the museum that must be visited by semester students 1 (Angaktan 2022) is the Sangiran Museum of Ancient Man (Karanganyar). This museum is a must-visit because it is closely related to the theme of ancient human life in Indonesia's preliterate period.

Both the Museology and Archives course and the Indonesia History Prescript Period and Hindu Buddhism, Students were given a group assignment to make a written report and a visual report in the form of a video of the museum visit. The content of the report itself has been determined by the lecturer, which contains about :

  1. Name and type of museum visited
  2. Address of the museum visited
  3. History of the museums visited
  4. Collection of museums visited
  5. Techniques for collecting the collections of the visited museums
  6. Display (Collection Showcase) in the museums visited
  7. Maintenance of the collections of the museums visited
  8. Socialization strategy (promotion) and museum development
  9. The benefits of the existence of museums that can be felt by the public
